Yep... I had the same problem this weekend. Missus and baby away for whole weekend!! 55 mile cross country planned for Saturday and 60 mile road for Sunday. Supposed to do a little DIY in between.
So straight to the pub after work Friday.. too many beers, didn't eat properly either. Did the planned ride, really enjoyed it until the last 10 miles when I hit the wall!! Came home, ate loads, went to pub again. Got up late. Tentative and slow 20 miles. Back to Pub for roast lunch + just 1 beer. F1 and World Road Champs on the box. Wife home. No DIY, no shopping, nothing useful done at all in her eyes.
Gutted I messed up my riding plans... but it was a good weekend nonetheless!!
