Living Legend & Old Fart
About 5 weeks ago, I was not feeling 100% but I managed a short ride. Later the same day, I had excruciating abdominal pains and a slight twinge on my right flank and a painful right leg and this got progressively worse as the day wore on. I went to the local hospital, blood tested and x-rays taken - abdominal obstruction and low sodium count and was given an enema and salt tablets! . A few visits to the ER and clinic appointments later, I am on the mend - still cannot walk pain free but it is getting better - should be back on the bike in a few weeks time.
After my windfall last month, I decided to buy two bikes - his and hers.; I decided on either hybrids or MTBs. I cannot go exploring on a road bike as road surfaces here can be horrendous. After pouring over the ProBike website (Best LBS in Thailand with a host of affiliated dealers nationwide), we eventually chose three bikes each and off we went to the dealer. I was under strict orders - do not buy today or order anything - just look! OK, no problem!. What happened? She ordered her bike within minutes of arriving there and said that I could order mine, if I wanted to!
Placed my order - Trek 3900 Disc for me and a Trek Skye WSD for her. Mine is in stock in Bangkok but hers will have to be ordered from the factory!.
