shimano claris rd 2400 help

would like some help figuring out the right derailleur in need to fix my bike after getting knocked down the other day

the Claris on my bike is the RD 2300 but can only seem to find the RD 2400 new....deos say it's compatible so not overly worried about that ......my real query is..

there is a Claris RD 2400 Ss and CLARIS 2400 Gs is there any difference in these models??? theres like £2 difference but wasn't entirely sure if they were for a specific cassette or something??

The Ss (Short cage) is for a double crankset, the Gs (Long cage) is for a triple.
