Eh? My last pair of m520s came with cleats included for £20 all in.

The M520s aren't pedals for road cleats though, they are MTB (although I use them on my road bike **runs for cover**).

Just bought some Shimano SPD pedals? Don't make the same mistake as I did and throw away the packaging - there are some cleats hidden in there. Happily I realised so I ended up with 2 sets.

Spd-sl's?? If so then yeh, bloody rip-off! Evan's are at that price, but quite a few others are down to about £18... still, for a bit of plastic!

Ouch that's expensive. I'm content with Look Deltas...no problem getting cleats at the moment but the scarcity of pedals means that I might have to move to Keo if n+1 comes into play again!

Everything is sky high with Shimano at the moment I think it's to do with exchange rates.

How often do you guys replace your cleats?

I replaced one cleat after about 14 months. The other one is still going strong.

Same here. I bought a pair of SPD cleats off of ebay, a fiver and they're identical to the ones that came in the box with the SPD520 pedals, right down to the packaging [plastic bag].

I think the basic road pedals are £30ish.... just get them and flog the pedals on ebay.
