Shimano spares

I just got some STX RC shifters from a mate; went to fit the r/h but the dust cover is missing from the underside.

I had a look at the Shimano Service Centre website and the only one that's not listed in the parts diagrams is, quel surprise, STX.



Who's good for Shimano bits?

IIRC stx-rc were superseded by Deore about 10 years ago.

I'm not having it! They're perfectly good, as new in fact. I must be able to find the cover somewhere...

I wouldn't bet on it.
I have their r540 pedals which have the plastic platform covers which have a tendency to wear. These are only a year old but I couldn't find replacements online. Ones for more expensive models yup but not r540s.
There's only slane cycles that lists that part without specifying it's not in stock but then it doesn't list it as in stock neither.

Call the Madison warranty department, not sure of the number but they might be able to help you.

i worked there a long time ago and used to help out if we could.

they may have some spare or at least have the code or one to purchase.

worth a call?
