Shimano XC50 MTB shoes

I'm looking to get a pair of these shoes, i'm a size 8 normally, so a 42 looks to be slightly bigger than an 8 and by all accounts, these shoes come in smaller than their UK size! Is that still the case? i'm going to try to get to a shop and try on some Shimano shoes, but the best price i'm fetting is at Chain Reaction Shoes so looking to order through them.

Anyone else bought similar found this to be the case?
