I'm home!!
Docks are a bit crowded at the moment. Bit of a slack period for some companies with the present oil price.
One of the company ships has now been in Aberdeen for 8 weeks. Engineers will need a refresher course on how to start the engines.

I missed my bike.

I also missed my wife and children.

.

8 weeks is just for starters, some of the Cape size ships have been sitting in Singapore Roads since October, some of them costing the wrong side of 100,000 bucks a day to keep there doing nothing

Times are tough at the moment. We had a boat getting £200,000 per day a few months back. It last chartered for £4000 / day
Don't know which program or channel its on but it has been part of a fly-on-the-wall documentary for a couple of weeks

Amazing isn't it? 24 months ago a ship charterer told me the way to make serious money was to own any kind of freighter, so great was demand.
