Shipping forecast touring routes

Just been thinking about the possibility of riding between two of the inshore waters points on the shipping forcast.

For example Cape Wrath to Rattray Head produces a lovely looking 210 mile route through the Scottish Highlands, or a shorter route would be Berwick-upon-Tweed to Whitby at 132 miles down the North Sea coast; or there's the mammoth 350 mile Lands End to St David's Head taking in Cornwall, Devon and South Wales.

I'm rather taken with the ride from Lough Foyle to Carlingford Lough, riding right through the middle of Northern Ireland (where I've never been) and even a bit of Eire if one feels like it
