Should imagine it's been a busy week for the mods here, with every new sign up generating five posts needing moderation (not all of them immediately, I assume).

Having done the job many years ago, and having wisely dodged it since, it's much appreciated.
As ex-Admin on a premier league team fan message board I concur.

Yes, it's a tricky job sometimes, but at least if everything is clear and the captain supports the volunteers, it's rewarding keeping a lively but happy forum. I was admin on a local FB group for a while, but I realised that the owner was happy to generate traffic with controversial topics, and the inevitable toxic debates about LTNs, students, planning applications, and I've ended up leaving the group entirely, not just as admin. Life's too short for that sort of stuff.

I don't generally approve of forum in-jokes spreading (like mould), but like swearing, this is a good example of sparse use being slightly amusing.
Nobody else get any ideas, right? This is a 1-off exemption

Aww…but that means we can’t let everyone know about the stint Chris Rea did for the art department of the Bristol Post drawing bridges…😬

Or how about the time it turned out he was a woman… 👀😂
