It sounds very silly to me. How much money will they make from this a year? Is it a lot, or is it one of those things that will cost more to administer than the receipts they'll get?

Well, exactly. Nothing is going to change. They already have our details and are just extending them to include our bike details (probably an insurance requirement). The security guards already come out to meet every single cyclist and delivery van and car. The bike racks are already there. Everyone has to have an electronic pass for the building as it is.

I know that horse!

There are about a dozen kept under the flightpath, and I always used to have a chat with them when walking Jack the dog in the late evening.

Funnily enough, on a couple of occasions I saw people lurking in the dark, within the boundary of the field, but I assumed they were rabbiting with lurchers etc - would never have thought of anything so awful.

Stupid old man.

They want to "formalise" (i.e. invent) a bicycle register for...what purpose? Anyone asking for your personal data needs to not ask for more than they need - not much more than a name and contact number to go with the registration number they provide.

I would thank them enthusiastically, and ask them to SPECIFY

- what housekeeping are they undertaking to provide
- what level of security are they undertaking to provide
