*sigh* - Another which bike thread!

sorry about this!

looking at road bikes at the £1k bracket I think I have narrowed it down to:

Boardman TC
and
Bianchi C2C Via Nirone 7 Alu Carbon Veloce 10sp Compact

I will be using it for Sportive type rides
I live in Devon and theres a fair few hills..these are both compacts
should this bother me?
Has anyone any thoughts on these bikes and are there any others I should be looking at?
Local LBS stock:
Scott, Trek, Cube, Bianchi, Specialized (I already have a sectuer triple) and Boardman from Halfords

The Boardmans are very good for the money, but they have the dissadvantage of Halfords.

Other bikes to consider.

Trek 2.1 is good for the money. I own a Cannondale CAAD9 at £1K it only has tiagra compact groupset but an excellent frame.
