Saw a speeding sports motorcyclist this morning hooting a relatively fast moving cyclist in the bus lane in Brixton to get out of his way. The cyclist was then cut up whilst trying to get past a bus in the stop as the motorcyclist squeezed passed them.

"ping Boris Johnson". Can you please get yourself on your bike down this dreadful shared A23 "motorway" bus lane in the rush hour to see how bad it is now that motorcyclists can use this convenient high speed undertaking lane.

Re my trauma with the black cabs of late, I'm developing my "professional" wobble and it worked on two of them this morning and the dreaded swoop was avoided. Yesterday after work had trouble with two of them just minutes from the office before seeking sancturary in the park, phew. I think I'm black cabbed out at the moment so looking forward to not seeing any of them over the weekend - it's like fighting off a constant swarm of wasps, get rid of one and there's another right behind.

I tend to get very unpredictable when there are lots of motorbikes or black cabs around. I just can't be relied on to cycle in a straight line, all over the place, weaving in and out all the time, it must be so annoying to more important people who need to get past me.

The raised cycle lane on Bishopsgate is routinely abused by PTWs.

Boris's move is gonna make things much worse.

if that's the one I think it is, absolutely, they pile into it there don't they, I had a near miss not so long ago when a motorbike swerved from outside into the lane as I came down the hill at a far speed, only me anticipating saved us, I don't think he'd looked at all

it's patently a bad idea, lots of motorbike riders are excellent, they need to be but as ever, there's a good minority of idiots and peanuts who will ove tearing along the bus lanes

I'm hope Motorbikes in bus lanes isn't proposed here (Edinburgh), although I've came accross it plenty of times and similar behaviour as described above. Cars using them to undertake congestion and black cabs can be annoying too. In lots of places the weight of buses have caused severe deformities in the tarmac and you have no choice but to be in a primary position.

I go down the A23 most days, sometimes there are so many motorcycles it like being surrounded by a swarm of angry bees!

In my area I don't mind motorbikes in bus lanes. Probably because we don't have many bus lanes. I have one on my commute and it lasts about a hundred yards. Same for the bike lanes.

Oddly enough, encounters with poor drivers aren't all that common either... I wonder if there's some sort of correlation?
