Shop him if you can get his number from the video, he is banged to rights on that.

Technically he's not done anything wrong though... however pointless and stupid it was. He's allowed to overtake there (no solid white lines/other road markings etc.) and clearly he's a moron who must overtake the cyclist... probably better off with him not being behind you all the way down (probably too close to you as well).

Granted, he is allowed to overtake there but that is clearly dangerous driving, whilst they may not be able to pin a charge on him, they could make life difficult for him.

Yes, technically allowed to overtake, but a brown trouser moment for the car coming uphill round the bend to find the BM silver metal box with a small circular badge on the boot that fooled me into thinking it was a different make. heading straight for him!

These days, unless there a collison as a consequence, this sort of driving is more for our entertainment than useful prosecution. Trying to educate this sort of driver is a complete waste of effort!

I fail to see anything particularly scary in either video apart from the OPs immediate inclination to blame BMW drivers.

The 'Silly b@stard' bit reminded me of 'pump up the volume' by Marrs:biggrin:

I've a stunna of a blind corner on my way to work that's an acid test of a driver's patience. The majority will wait, but a significant minority go for it. Because of the nature of the bend, they'll usually give me enough room, but line themselves up nicely for a head-on with vehicles coming t'other way. Over the years I've seen a few near misses, but I'm afraid the laws of probability will have their way sooner or later. That will be footage that plod (no offence Mr C) will take an interest in.

No BigSteev, I honestly thought it was a BMW. If it had been a Renault I would have said "The Renault Driver".

And on top of that, neither of the clips were anything to do with being scared. The first clip is to show what a self-gratification artist the car driver was, overtaking on a blind bend and having to get back over in the face of the oncoming car.

The second was an example of irony. I had dealt with the fact he pulled out in front of me by scrubbibng off speed to avoid a collision. The irony was that he saw me when it was far too late, startled hmself then used his horn to tell me off.

Do try to keep up.

Oh, and if you do drive a BMW, then please accept my wholehearted and sincere apologies.

It must be dreadful:biggrin:
