Last time we had a skip the problem was keeping the metal robbers out of it rather than skip tippers dumping stuff in it, they kept chucking everything out looking for stuff to take away!

Nothing you can do.

The other persons act of fly tipping does not excuse you doing it in return, remove it to discourage others from doing the same for now and chuck it in when they come to collect it.

If the carpet is big enough then use it, upside down and tied, to cover the skip.
I usually cover my skips with a tarp, tied down, if I can't fill and remove in the same day.

Sorry Id put it on the verge next to the pavement, it isnt yours, some @@@@ has dumped it. They are the fly tipper not you.
