.......heading down Seven Sisters Road from Camden at about 5.45pm last night? I nearly had the most spectacular crash, but somehow managed to stay on my bike and still can't quite believe how I managed it!!!!
Going downhill (fixed) on the the one-way bit approaching Holloway Road around 20-25mph, lost the front wheel on a wet bit of white line, thought I was going down hard onto my right side, then somehow flipped forward, back wheel in the air riding on the front wheel only (thinking this is going to REALLY hurt), somehow managed not to go over the handlebars, landed back on the rear wheel, crunching down on the crossbar (managing somehow not to crush my nuts), then skeetered down the road for another 30m or so trying not to crash into the parked cars on the other side of the road (as I had swerved across 2 lanes from the bus lane), pedals still spinning around frantically. Normally after a "close one" you get the shakes and adrenaline rush, but I was so confused as to how I was still upright, I just rode off like nothing happened.
F*ck only knows how I didn't fall off, I would love to see it on video!!!!
