Ok so after my first puncture on my MTB I decided to buy a can of slime to avoid future kerfufel and negate the need for being weighed down like a Peruvian pack Llama on my trail rides.

Now I can't inflate or deflate my tyres at all. Too late I have seen the advice that you should inflate/deflate at 10 or 2 o'clock (valve position). So I'm guessing my valves are fully 'slimed up'.

Are my inners now useless? is there a way of unblocking them?

Thanks in advance

Unscrew the middle bit of the valve that you unscrewed when putting the slime in and shove a cotton bud / cue tip in there. Might not work but you're at a bit of a 'kill or cure' stage here I'm afraid.

Are they Schrader or Presta valves?

If presta, then they may unscrew so you can get to the blockage, or Schrader you should be able to remove the valve core with a valve tool or really thin pair of needle pliers.

That sounds worth a go - be a shame to throw away 2 perfectly good inners because of my own stupidity - cheers. I'll position the valves at 10 o'clock, might avoid a load of slime in the face at 35 psi with a bit of luck.
