The carbon post on my Whyte is slipping while being ridden (I am not the lightest  ). Due to the geometry of the bike, there is quite a lot of post showing (about half of it I think). How tight is it safe to tighten - I am not exactly strong and will only use an Allen key. I know you need to be more cautious with carbon,

Thanks in advance

Tried carbon paste?

Tacx carbon assembly compound ..Its water based rather than oil/grease based so it does nt attack the carbon post ..
contains lots of tiny glass balls which grip the carbon ... or tighten the seat clamp to10n if you have the tools...

Nm are dead easy. Get an allen key one metre in length and for every nm you need to tighten place a bag of sugar on the end or if you need to tighten to 6nm get a 6 metre allen key and one bag of sugar.
Bzzt! Challenge! A 1kg bag of sugar is (roughly) 10N (assuming we're on planet earth). For 1N you need something about 1/10th of a kilo. An apple, for example...

See, i shouldn't be allowed on the internet when i've had a drink. Something nasty could have happened there.
