Looks like it.

Don't pick it up as it may get spooked and detach it's tail which isn't good for the creature.

My garden is infested with them. Unfortunately, our Moggie takes a toll of them, which is apparently quite common.

Had to rescue one just the other day.

I wish we had them around here! I have to content myself with watching the tadpoles in the pond.

We get them in my garden as well around the compost bins. I've seen a few this year so hopefully the local population is healthy. Lawnmowers and cats are indeed the usual nemises, but I saw one dispatched by a magpie recently, the pecky bastard!

I had a crazy biologist friend at university who specialized in slow worms. She had a terrarium full of them in her room, and she had trained them to do various things. Unfortunately she also used to dissect some of them.

I love them. When I was young, there were dozens of them on my parents' garden. You hardly see them at all now anywhere in their neighbourhood.
