I've been trying to copy my George Formby DVD's onto my external hard drive and extract the bits of him playing the uke onto a blank DVD plus slow them down if I can. I've got "DVD Shrink" which apparently (?) allows me to get them onto the hard drive but it seems I need a version of Nero too, God knows why? Plus when all this is done, is there a way of extracting particular clips and slowing them down? Any help EXTREMELY appreciated, cos I'm getting nowhere!!

VLC - among others - will let you alter the playback speed of any video clip.

Ta Carwash, most grateful. Didnt think there was such a programme! Never really left the 1970's.... Not only did it work perfectly but I figured out how to extract clips from my DVD's and copy a collection of them onto a DVDR using DVD Shrink and ImgBurn so no need to buy Nero either
