Ian's right - not much call for them, (lots of diesel and petrol on the road mind...) although I have tried knobbly tyres on an MTB / low pressures etc -
and I am useless on snow, mud or anything resembling 'loose' or wet. I thought I could deal reasonably with the slippery stuff, but it is hard work! On the P - X, I have done a fair old slide on ice, and was lucky to stay upright - definitely not intending to repeat that. Good luck, and a safe ride.
