Interesting ride home from work this morning. Only on my hybrid with the regular part worn Schwalbe Roadcruiser tyres but managed to keep upright and push on at an average speed of 16mph for the 10 mile ride. Could really have done with being on the MTB as the hybrid was a bit twitchy at times and there was nearly 2 inches of settled snow by the time I got home.

Bad news at work as one of my colleagues off the day shift fell off her bike on the ice only a short distance from her home on the way into work on Saturday morning. It looks as though she is going to need an operation to pin her shoulder which makes it sound like a very nasty injury.

Umming and ahhing about cycling in tomorrow morning.

Lots of ice on pavements today although I don't know if that extended to roads.

Going off the amount of people on here that have fallen off, I reckon there is plenty of black ice about, especially on the minor roads.
Glad I didn't risk it today now, though i might venture out tomorrow on the studs.
Tatton park I think for a joy ride :bicycle:

I did a 55 miler today, the roads weren't to bad, main roads clear and minor roads covered in hoar frost, it had mostly cleared by the time I came out the cafe. The bikes been cleaned and checked and is stood behind me ready to go tomorrow morning.
