Has anyone biked up snowdon recently?

Im curious to find out which is the best path and more about the voluntry agreement with bikes on the bridleways?

Im looking to do this coming feb! Has there been much going on in the way of path reconstruction with big massive steps been added?

OS map 115, plus What Mountain Bike this month [February] has a big, big article - another 30 minutes stood around in WHSmiths and you'll know as much as anybody! Actually I can condense it here for you: lots of pushing, followed by lots of whooshing!

One other thing to think about is that in February there is a reasonable chance of there being snow and/or ice on the higher parts of the mountain even if there is none in the valley. It will be a lot colder up there too.
