Yeah, I got a scrawled note at the time with the CAD number and then a letter about a week later from the Met with the longer reference, telling me they were investigating and would let me know the outcome.... Sounds like I have all the relevant numbers anyway, which is good! Thanks again all, much appreciated

Whomare you thinking of claiming through? British cycling for example say they like you to claim within 12 months, hwoever personal injury claims can be started within 3 years apparently

Awful to hear this, hope you are not put off. Cant offer any proper advice on the liability, only subjective opinion, which wont really help.

Just shows that this can happen to the best of us.

Get well soon. Hope that you get all the work paid for, and they should definitely be charging the passenger, as opening a door like that is a specific offence.
