Hello all , went out today on my Orange G2 MTB and did 25 miles on and off road . Snow , slush and sleet throughout the ride , but the worse thing was on the road when cars went past and hit the centre line where all the slush and crud was , sending it all over the roads . Also ,since i`ve stopped driving for the past 14 months , due to costs nothing else , i`ve noticed how shoot drivers are and the worse the conditions the more shoot they are really moronic driving. What`s your thoughts people ?

It was an enjoyable scenic but very slow cycle into work today as the snow kept the cars off the road, it's a shame some car drivers do stupid things. In general I find the majority well behaved.

I guess it's like most things you only remember the idiots

did 36 miles, light snow melting on the road. 7 miles into the wind really completely knackered me and 3 overtaking lorries coated me with a crosswind powered drizzle of mud. Much better ride on Wed when it was -4 but quite calm and very beautiful. Really like my warm cycling tights and my woolly thinsulate gloves from the market and my 2 pairs of socks and fleece top... Pannier is currently stuffed with hat, 2 thermal vests, balaclava, glove liners, chocolate as well as spanners etc because I really do not want to get caught out by a mechanical and end up in the middle of nowhere with not enough clothes.

Watching drivers approach junctions, wheels locked up, sliding across the snow with no control whatsoever is a bit scary. Easy on the brakes!
