No no, up here at least, he still appeared in the occasional thing on the TV, we knew he was 90 odd and hoped he'd go on forever like David Attenborough.

Sad news. Memories of his comedy series back in the day, along with the Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise etc.
Round this time of year we'd have the Xmas editions of Radio Times and TV Times, and we'd be scrawling through circling all the great acts and shows to watch, and many arguments as to what to see when two were on at the same time. Happy days.
