She got it sunday and tonight was the first outing, only 6 miles as she's never been on a road bike.
nice little carbon fork spesh Dolce with a sora 9sp gear train.
nice little bike ,its tiny compared to mine.

she moaned about the brakes, as in this thing dont stop ...as all disc to caliper newbs do..
No suspension..."its a road bike Dear" lol
ive tweeked it a fair bit and we seem to have a comfy position after a stem change.
she liked the ease of riding as its quite light after her mtb..and after the shock of 25mm tyres she found them ok.

the gears will take some training but i think it will be ok after a few miles...im not sure about 10mph tho..that needs to change if we're going to be road bikers..but i think she will speed up once she realizes the brakes stop you eventually..

Getting a road bike for Mrs P was one of the best n+1 decisions.
Gotta love a bike ride with the better half

We even did an audax together .

She's not going to my tt's though

Congrats to O.H

3 years ago Mrs V was using a heavy dutch town bike... then bought an 80's racer... now on a Boardman Race.. she loves it but had an 'off' in the first week......
