Soaked

Got soaked on the way home today. Torrential rain, it was so hard it hurt, I felt like I was being pebble dashed, headwind, thunder and lightening I got home and my son said it the tail-end of a tropical storm that they had forecast.

Next stop Autumn - Only difference is it's cold rain !

Absolutely drenched on the way home. Head wind didn't help either. Clothes are currently drip drying in the spare room (Shh! Don't tell Mrs. Kaipaith!)

Folk at work looked at me like I was mad when they realised I was cycling home in this weather. They look at me like that anyway, so I'm kinda used to it.

Burton on trent at 5 am was still raining , not to heavily but the wind was a biatch on my route home which is always against any prevailing wind it knocked about 4-5 mph off my speed .

I might think of getting the water proof out some time as i am still using the wind proof/shower proof thing i carry.

Ah well soon be snowing

Mtb'ed home from work over the North Downs. It got pretty nasty, went dark earlier than usual and the bridlepaths turned into rivers such was the amount of water coming down. Roads weren't much better either!

17 miles through SE London traffic to get home. Worked late (again) so caught the worst of it at about 9pm. Lots of rain, but seemed warm. Knackered when I got in though.

Bl00dy great fun. Lycra shorts + s/s jersey. Shoes utterly full

Got completely soaked on the way home - even my shoes were pools of water. I'm hoping for some non-rainy days in the autumn/winter season. Cycling in the rain may be fun once in a while, but doing it every day seems quite terrifying.

Possibly a little late to mention, but when you take wet shoes off, stuff them with newspaper.
Dries them out much quicker than pretty much anything else. Mine are good to go the next morning.

Head wind didn't help either.

Last night was the only time I know off where I had to cycle down a hill because the wind was trying to push me back up

This was on the Brum new road Coseley heading toward Dudley.
