My bike did have a 6 speed 14-24 freewheel and a 114 link chain, i am replacing the freewheel with a new 14-24 freewheel and a new 114 link chain, on a set of new wheels, But i am not replacing the deraillers , Will this mesh together fine and i am worrying over nothing or is there something to do with spacing, as i don't know much on spacing

I am assuming the new wheels have rims of the same diameter as the old, and the new cassette is also 6 speed.

Since the wheels are new, if I were you I would check to see if the new rear hub is of the same width between the locknuts as the old one (the easiest is probably to put them against the frame's rear dropouts where they are supposed to go and see, there is a chance the new one is wider than the old and doesn't fit easily). Not necessarily a big deal if the new one is wider as long as the frame is steel, and not overly exotic steel.

Although unlikely to make a difference, a new chain of 114 links can be too short for replacing an old one with the same number of links (because chains stretch as they wear), so it might be worth checking that it runs fine on the largest chainring and the large sprocket at the same time before riding it.

Well at the moment i just have the wheels ,ordered freewheel and the chain with 116 links so i can take some away to adjust, i put the back wheel on to see if it fits but the nuts which was next to the cones was blocking it from fiting it in, so i changed them to thinner nuts now it sits in the drop outs nicely, so hopefully just put the freewheel on and the chain and should run smoothly

It might be worth measuring the distance between the rear dropouts of the frame. If it is 120mm then you do not want to swap the locknuts on your new wheel because modern 6 speed freewheels need hubs 126mm or wider, and narrow 6 speed freewheels that fit 120mm hubs are no longer available on the market.

I measured 125-126mm dropouts couldn't do the hub spokes in the way but on the description on the wheel i ordered it says hub is 130mm over lock nut distance. so i replaced the thickish lock nuts with thinner ones and it fits nicely, freewheel also come today i screwed it on and it spins and fits fine. So i think its good now i hope lol
