Somebody left me a present on the cycle path today.

There is a lovely piece of Tarmac cycle path near a busy road, which you can do 20+ MPH with little or no effort. So, I was cycling along when I see a box between the path and the road. At first I didn't want to stop as I was going along nicely, but curiosity got the best of me and I turned around.

The box was sealed, and very light. Like a child on Christmas I ripped in to it discover it was filled with that air-bubble-wrap stuff. On top was the invoice, £170. Waha! This is going straight on eBay... I mean, I better get this to it's rightful owners I thought.

I rummaged to the bottom to find fifty, or so, electronic machine plug things. I have I idea what they were. I checked the invoice, but there was no telephone number so I just left it there. I'm sure UPS can afford the insurance.

Not that I'm ungrateful cycle path fairies, but how about an iPad next time?

What were they, did you find out by taking a pic with your phone, uploading it on goole, thus getting a description for ebay?

Damn! I'm not cut out for this life of crime.

I did think on the way home, that I could've ridden to the address asked if they wanted to buy them for £100 and then they could've claimed the £170 back off UPS

If it wasn't too heavy couldn't you have taken them and told ups o they had the opportunity to collect?

The box was light, but there was no way I was going to carry it on my bike. If the buyers phone number had been on the invoice I'd probably have given them a ring. UPS can swallow a £170 loss.
