Sometimes the British weather just sucks!

Cracking easy 40 miler on Monday in glorious winter sunshine! Up into town, east along the Grand Union, Canary Wharfe, Greenwich, Croydon,Sutton and home. Planning to get out for some harder riding in the week.

Bloody weather! Until today it has been permanently around or below zero and i hate black ice. Today it is warmer but peeing down.

I have a day off Today but have only ventured as far as the Royal Mail delivery office. Teeming it down and I can't bring myself to go out and get another drenching

I went for a run this morning and in places the rain was sitting on top of frozen ground, which was pretty treacherous. I got home and went in the shower to dry off. Took 3 towels to dry the dog.

weather forecast for the London area is very promising Saturday onwards ... a tropical 9C !!!!

Today was one day I didn't take the bike; sheet ice over most of the roads around me.

The car slid everywhere, but gripped. The bike wouldn't have.

Had a nice ride into town today . Pavements were lethal with black ice but the gritters had done the roads.

Got drenched on the return trip .

I've been on holiday yesterday and today, and I think I called it right, I was out on my bike yesterday morning and today I was on the turbo for an hour. Its a pain when the weather switches between extremes like this, you end up not knowing where you are, if I'd been at work I'd have commuted in the car.
