Dropped by the autobus

So, cycling home from work today, I've seen the latest in a fairly long line of people/'cyclists' who are determined to be poster boys for the pro-cycling-licence/you-don't-belong-on-the-road brigade. I normally just let it pass me by (so to speak) but this one was just bewildering. He first came to my attention by undercutting me and jumping a red light (as I waited) going through the town centre. 50m up the road I caught him up again, veering erratically and illogically between primary and secondary, so much so that even I was hesitant to pass. After watching him overtake a bus at a bus stop by going down its outside with a mere margin of inches, I finally pick my point and pass him on a clean stretch. A bit further down the road, I'm cruising in primary behind a car coming up to a red. Despite an advance stop zone, I've tucked in in primary behind as the guy is clearly and early indicating left. Sure enough, matey catches up at the stop and undercuts both me and car and parks up in the ASZ - in the gutter. Granted this time he didn't RLJ, but he does proceed to get out his mobile phone and bury his head in a text. Light goes green and, to be fair, the left indicating car waits a full 5-6 seconds while the guy on the bike sits there obliviously. So car slowly and cautiously starts to pull away. This prompts matey boy to start up, just as the car is taking the widest line possible into the turn. Car stops, having kept an eye on bike guy for the whole abortive half turn, que bike guy swerving around the (thankfully) now- stationary bonnet and giving one of those utterly incredulous what-do-you-think-you're-doing hand signals.
Stunning. I was lost for words.
