what songs go through your head whilst cycling?
mine are either "you can do this if you really want" (not sure what song is called) or Come on, come on !! (Gary Glitter?)
anything and everything. the most hilarious one was whilst i was cycling along singing master of puppets i stopped at a roundabout, car pull up along side.
naturally without breaking rhythm i turned to look in the cars open passenger window and gurned whilst shouting "MASTER!!! MASTER!!!!" and then the traffic continued.
Worst was one evening alst year, went to on a 35 and the kids were watching CBeebies... Two and a half hours of "In the night garden" theme...... It was horrid.
I don't have a specific song when cycling generally, but Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough is my current "happy place" song
#We slip and slide as we're falling in love and. I. Just. Can't. Seem. To. Get. Enough. Of. Duh. Duh. Duh-dub duh-duh-duh, Duh. Duh. Duh-duh duh-duh-duh...........
All sorts of things, often what I've been learning for a choir recently. I do remember riding round parts of Scotland last year singing everything from 'the drugs don't work' to Cwm Rhondda.
'When the goin' gets tough, the tough gets goin'!!....'
I very often have completely random songs playing in my head, but 'The Fletcher Memorial Home' seems to be a particular favourite along with 'Songs Of Love' by The Divine Comedy.
Turn the volume up on this one, the sound is crap, unfortunately:
Lately I've been listening to Hate Train by The Meteors on my internal-mental bike stereo. Before that it was Lords Of The Boards by Guano Apes. There's been some Shakira as well. Not sure who's responsible for the playlist.
