Sorry for yet another which bike thread

I have around 1k to spend and I am wondering if anyone has any opinions of any of the below bikes just to help me choose or have any strong thoughts about alternatives as there are so many out their in this price bracket.

I realise I need to get to the shops and test ride and but would like some thoughts before I go

The bikes I am looking at are

Planet X SL Carbon – No test ride available which puts me off so would have to rely on a tape measure.

I ride about 150 miles a month currently but will be upping this into winter. The plan is to do some Sportive's in the new year. I am looking for a comfortable, upgradable and fast new bike.

Was it the SL Carbon?. The big draw back is they are in Doncaster and I am not even sure I can even get a test ride? so may rule what on paper is my personal choice.
