As a consequence of finding an uncashed cheque for £110 refunding dental charges and a 43€ refund from Decathlon for a bottom bracket replacement under guarantee, I have some money to spend on cycling goods.

Problem is is that I can't find anything to buy:
  • Bikes are in good order
  • Touring gear in good order
  • Clothing in good order
Is there anything that cycling related and nice but not essential that's worth spending my money on?

n+1 rule springs to mind.

i had similar thoughts recently. all my bikes and gear are in perfect order so really there is no need to buy anything cycling related. i only thought of two things that i would like to have, but don't really need: brooks team pro titanium saddle and carbon shallow drop bars. might get them as a xmas treat if i don't change my mind by then.
other way to spend money in a good way is to go for a short tour, stay in b&b's and have nice meals along the way.

Helmet cam,Garmin, and more clothing would be on my list Vernon.

Helmet cam - a health hazard! Everyone wearing helmets cams attract kamikaze motorists, wagon drivers and buss drivers. I'd like my rides to remain incident free.

Garmin is a possibility though I can use my Nokia phone's GPS.

Clothing...mmmm.......a few more tops might be good.

Upgrade Vernon, surely there's some part of your bike you'd like to improve, the tyres/ wheels are good starting points.

I'm happy with the set up of all of my bikes and I'm tight enough to not change things for change's sake.

A thought!

A bike stand to service my bikes.....problem solved!

I'll spend the change on kebabs and beer.

How about some new lightweight tyres? Hang them up in the shed/garage/kitchen for whenever you need them.
