Hi there, does anyone know what date this specialized globe bike is? Think its a vienna u2. Worried its a recalled 2009/2008 globe bike. Any help much appreciated. Many thanks!

Your bike doesn't look like any on that link, nor the 2009 Vienna 2? https://www.specialized.com/fi/en/globe-vienna-2/p/22274?color=30741-22274
Take it to a Specialized dealer and ask, they deal with recalls. Although according to this the recall was in 2012 so you may be rather too late!

@vickster Not had the bike from new - just bought it yesterday secondhand. Tried to find the model then came across news articles about various globe bikes… Thanks so much for your help and advice!

It might have been fixed then? Get a Specialized dealer to check if concerned (I assume there'll be a record if it was sorted 10 years ago)

I worked for Specialized in 2009/2010 and I’m pretty sure that the recall didn’t apply to bikes in the UK as the sub brand ‘Globe’ was only available to us in the UK at the end of 2009. The bike you have is a 2010 model and was in the 2010 dealer brochure but was early released late 2009.
So no need to worry …. Enjoy!
