Here's a little maintenance tip: notice how both ends of the rear derailleur cable point down? Water from washing will find its way into those plastic ferrules and rust the exposed ends of the outer cable. Take it apart and smear Vaseline liberally in and around the ends of the cable and inside the ferrules to waterproof it. That way your cable will last for more than three trips out and washes before the shifting goes to pot.
