Anyone else doing this event ? Rolling rather than steep, its a nice scenic ride. I've entered the 52 miler, which will be a good test of my legs.

Looks like a pretty good set of routes to ride but it's under Brutish Cycling's rules, so I can't enter... I probably ought to do some gardening before Sunday's pub ride anyway!

Well, it was not exactly cycling weather (certainly for fair weather cyclists like me), but a great ride with plenty of ups and downs. When I stopped for food after 30 miles I was averaging 16.5 mph - very good for me. By the time I had dragged myself over the final 22 hilly miles the average speed was down to 14.5 ! But at least I did not get off and push this year, so that is an improvement on last year.
