Spokeguards/Spoke protection?

We have broken several spokes on our trikes due to things like sticks, stones and even colisions. Been looking at solving this by fitting spokeguards like Velomobiles and rugby wheelchairs have but with pricesbeing so high I was wondering if any of you knew of a cheaper way of solving this? £100 plus per pair seems very steap when I have 2 trike and 2 trailers to be done.

cant cut corex grr circles are difficult lol. i got 2 panels cut now gotta get sum small cableties on monday n fit em.
