Is it possible for spokes to be loose but the wheel still true? I have a bit of a rattle on my back wheel which gets worse when I put pressure on the drive side and giving the spokes a bit of a squeeze, they (most of them) seem a little loose. It's not the hubs so I'm a little puzzled and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this??

Spokes can be loose and the wheel still be true. I've had it lots of times and most times a little tweak with a spoke key will sort it out.
Sometimes that ''little tweak'' ends up messing the wheel up though.

1/4 turn each spoke on drive side if they are loose, check true and tension, after 1 rotation, use the valve hole as your start point either spoke infront or spoke behind don't be tempted to tighten them up lots on each one, you'll find maybe 3/4 to 1 rotation on each drive side spoke will take the looseness out. If in doubt LBS for a quick true
