I have a "Tale of Woe" E-Bike.

I'd encourage you to get a named brand with local service and support available.
The use of a name may mean a compromise on price and alleged performance but it should also ensure the availability of spares and service.

Some feel safe having one year guarantee maybe two. The fast majority will sail through this with no issues and into the future. My gripe with all these brand makes, they make their systems proprietary, expensive to repair, no transferable to other bike.

My venture has been with Tongscheng and Bafang.

The Tongscheng motors have been smooth, powerful, reliable. I've been able to transfer the original motor, battery, I bought some 4-5 years ago between 3 bikes. Now my sister has it. It will suit her, plenty of torque for hills-she is not a regular cyclists but wants to improve her fitness. Getting out on little trips, flattening the hills where she lives in Yorkshire will be ideal for her

Specialized Vado SL is worth a look.

Very similar looking geometry to your FX and light for an ebike at 16kg. Fun to ride and even feels like a normal bike to ride with the motor off. The motor is only 240w but as it's mid-drive it can take advantage of the gears on steep hills. It's dragged my 92kg carcass up 14% with no issue.
The outgoing SL 4.0 model is on sale at under 2k but I paid 1500 last year for the exact same model, so it's worth haggling. They'll want to clear out the old model. If you don't like the stepthrough frame, the sportier looking and nicer colour conventional frame version is another 500.

The SL 2 models have more powerful motors and bigger batteries but are a lot heavier (20kg!)... and pricier.

Indication of real world range, a 42 mile ride with 1100m of climbing on a full charge, getting home with 9% in the tank.
