You often get a suction tool to remove these bulbs as there recessed.
Some like my work place " gu10" you pull the whole light unit out and remove the bulb from the housing

I got such a tool with a multi-spotlight that I bought a couple of years ago. I struggled for ages to put the lights in using just my fingers and only then found the tool in the bottom of the box!

Also check the power rating? I changed some recently, and discovered I'd bought bulbs that had a higher power rating than the fittings - could lead to overheating.

Equivalent wattage lower than existing halogen bulbs I think. Also, from YouTube vid, LED produce much less heat than halogen?
I'll just have to see what electrician says on Friday now

My halogens were about 75W each so I used to have 300W aimed straight at the top of my head! The LEDs that replaced them were more like 10W each. They were probably not quite as bright, but they gave a whiter light which I preferred to the yellowy light of the halogens.
