Spring is coming!

According to the BBC forecast, we have been assured that spring is definitively coming by the end of the week. Put your long trousers and long sleeve jerseys away and out comes the summer gear!

In typical BBC fashion, when they say "spring is coming", they really mean "spring is coming to London and the south east".
I just checked the Met Office forecast for the west of Scotland for the weekend. Yes the temperature is up a few degrees, but at the cost of high winds and rain . The rest of the country isn't looking too good either, with the aforementioned exception.

On the other hand, there was a photo posted up on here yesterday from a moorland ride yesterday and the grass looked tinder dry. A bit of rain is probably necessary (if not welcome). Winds, however, are simply the devil's flatulence.
