My view of him has always been skewed...no doubt he is a talent and is a voice of the people - such a shame the biggest knobend in my school liked him!!

Can never make up my mind about him. Think it would be a brilliant gig to go to but would never listen to him at home or on my i-pod regardless of having a few albums.

Saying that I love Streets of Philidephia though for some reason

That sounds wrong. There's at least one forummer on here mad about him.

I caught the tv of him at Glastonbury but don;t know if he always puts in a shift like that. He fair grafted.

His lyrics on the early stuff are great, this is not his best.

I think he's ruddy awesome and, yes, he doesn't half work at it.

Here he is on home turf at the height of his powers in the late '70s proving it all night (and showing what a fine guitarist he is)

I was a fan early on and saw him at Bramhall Lane in the mid eighties. I do remember the gig went on and on, no doubt he gave value for money, but after a while you were thinking 'Thanks, but just play born in the USA and then we can all go home'.

I like the songs "The River" and "Thunder Road"... not that keen otherwise... can see why people like him, but it doesn't really do it for me

Bruce, one of my three favourite Americal songer/song-writers along with John Melencamp and John C Fogerty. My wife hates all three (but especially Fogerty) so I can only play them out loud whe she is not around.

Thank goodness for iPods and headphones
