Hi all

My Scott hybrid is making a funny noise from the back wheel - I think it might be the disc brake. The wheel keeps trying to fall out as well, no matter how tight i wind the quick release. Any ideas guys?

When you say 'wind the quick release' you aren't just trying to tighten it up by just turning it are you ? I have to ask because we do get them in the workshop done up like that.
Sometimes there is a small rubber cover/seal on the non drive side of the rear axle, its a possible source of squeak in the rear wheel, bit of silicone lube will cure it.
Other than that what makes you suspect the brake?

I'm not a mechanic by any means but from that bottom pic it looks like the quick release isn't 'clamped' into the 'closed' position. Perhaps others could confirm or otherwise but I think the lever should be pushed forwards from the position you took the pic in. If that's the case you probably need to unwind it a bit first so that it can be pushed into position.
