SR Suntour NEX4110 V2 Fork Maintenace

Evening all,

I am a noob to this forum so please break me in gentle

I am about to undertake some maintenance of the front shocks on my bike. They are the ones mentioned above. I have found the SR Suntour site here clicky clicky and the exploded forks diagram is located here clicky clicky.

I am handy with a set of spanners etc as I have been rebuilding motorbikes for a number of years now so this is not a problem.

The problem is on the PDF file I assume I undo nut 13 and the whole unit should pull apart. Also when I am trying to remove part 8 (Adjust Cap Assy) does this just pull off the top or is there a special way this comes apart ?

Well spoke to a LBS and found there is a special spanner for this, they are going to order one for me.

How did you get on with this? Was the special spanner you needed for the adjuster mechanism at the top?

Im currently taking mine to bits and replacing the plastic sleeves as there was some play.

How have yours held up?
