I've started preparing my new frame to receive the gubbins from my current singlespeed. Today I checked that my wheels will fit:

They do!

I now have a nice threaded headset:

I had to drill out the forks but the front brakes now fit:

The modern stem on the threaded headset doesn't look as bad as I thought it might.

This is my commuter bike, but I really like the way it looks without mudguards.

Thanks!

It's the standard size Weber, we've had it for thirteen years and it has survived a lot, it even had an escaping prisoner fall on it after jumping over our fence. We had two 8ft hemp plants in our garden at the time, but that's a story for another time...
