Stem design on earbuds

I'm thinking of buying the Cambridge Audio Melomania a100 earbuds which have just recently been released.
My query is they have the stem design like Apple and from some reviews I have read you don't get a good fit with this design?
Can someone put me straight on this as I don't want my partner moaning about the buds leaking sound?That would be a deal breaker

I have Nothing with a similar design and they're dandy.

As long as the gels are a snug fit, all should be fine.
I have a pair of Anker buds a similar shape & a pair of jabra buds shaped like the Cambridge m100, both are comfortable to wear.

I think it depends on your ears. Apple style ones must work for most people because you see them everywhere. They don’t stay in my ears at all though.

I had to get some Sony ones with little silicone ‘wings’ to stay in my (evidently weirdly shaped) lug ‘oles.

I think with the stem design you can't really move them about wherein i had the samsung galaxy buds2(now kaput)and you could twist them about to get a good seal.
