Stolen Colnago and GT

Hi all

Last tuesday night theives broke into my garage and took two bikes. Both were worth mega money a full desrciption will follow, both are very distinctive and should be quite tracable unless they are broken up for their component parts.

I live in Southport on Merseyside and there appears to be a gang work here targeting cycling club members. so far there have been 15 bikes go, mostly road bikes.

If any one gets sight of these bikes please - PLEASE make contact.

STOLEN ​

ROAD BIKE & MOUNTAIN BIKE​

The following bikes were stolen from my garage on the night of 2[sup]nd[/sup] August from 7 Grovewood Birkdale PR8 2NU.

ROAD BIKE

· Colnago CT1 Frameset with straight ventilated carbon aero fork blades (metallic blue & silver - carbon).

· Campagnolo Vento wheels in black with black striped blue tyres – black QR skewers.

· Campagnolo Super Record carbon groupset (full groupset all carbon).

· Campagnolo Ergopower brakes (all carbon).

· Campagnolo C10 HD-L Chain.

· Campagnolo 10 speed block.

· Thomson Elite seatpost – black.

· Colnago saddle – blue, black suede with white stitching.

· Look pedals – blue.

· Deda Synapsi bars with illuminating end stops taped mottled white.

· Twin bottle cages – blue aluminium –gold screw cap covers.

· Cateye cordless 7 cyclometer.

Frame as per this colour set, forks have been swapped for full aero ventilated blades (much wider).



MOUNTAIN BIKE

· GT LTS4 Frameset clear lacquered Aluminium.

· RST Pro forks – yellow.

· Kore handlebar stem – yellow.

· GRAY handlebars with DMR grips.

· SACHS Gripshift gear changes.

· Shimano “V” brakes.

· Wheels – Mavic rims with Q/R hubs.

· Michelin Downhill Wildgrip tyres – black new and never ridden on.

· Shimano DEORE DX rear mech with red block sprockets.

· Triple Chainset – black cranks with red outer ring and silver inner rings.

· KORE Seatpost – dusky red.

· CLUB ROOST BEARTRAP pedals – plain aluminium.

· WTB Saddle black with embroidered wolf motif in white and red lettering.

Hi everyone


Some partial good news. The police have recovered one of my bikes. They found at an address where they carried out a dawn raid following up on the fingerprints that were found at the crime scene. My Colnago remains un-traced but I hopeful that having now got one back that other one will also be found.

I would ask everyone to keep a sharp lookout for the road bike while they are out and about it is very distinctive and easily identified. To remind every on of the specification please see description below.

I've got my fingers crossed for you buddy. Keep your eyes on ebay and gumtree etc for the scumbags advertising it.

I suspect, given the information that high value bikes are being targeted, that, like high value cars, they will disappear out of the country to be sold rather than go on ebay or gumtree. Still worth keeping an eye out though.
