Stolen: Peugeot

I woke up a few months ago to find that one of the fence panels in my garden was propped up with a stick and my bike had been stolen from the shed.

If anyone spots a dodgy character in the South Birmingham area riding a rusty old Peugeot racer (circa 1986 & stuck in 3rd gear), please thank them profusely as the insurance payout contributed towards the cost if a new Brompton which has renewed my interest in cycling again after 25 years or so

A pug from the 1980s funding a shiny new Brompton? Sounds like a fraudulent insurance claim to me!

Only part-funded... the settlement probably covered the cost of the chain, a few spokes & a brake pad

I popped into my local cycle shop to get an idea of replacement value & ordered the Brommie on impulse; something I wouldn't have done if the Pug hadn't been pilfered.
