Stolen tandem seatpost 34.9mm and Stoker (handle) bars

My Circe Helios tandem has had it's front seatpost nicked. It was parked in Brixton. It is very long (20 inch wheeled tandem with low frame, so long seatpost), 34.9mm dia - so not much use to most people, and had a stem and handlebars attached for the stoker (rear rider). The bars had a pink 'I (heart) my bike' bell and a Mirrycle mirror on the end. It had a specialised Arial 155 saddle.

I suspect it was nicked because they could and when they find it's useless to them it will be slung in the bin or over the nearest hedge.

shoot to hear. I suspect you'll actually find it most most likely nicked by someone for the paltry scrap value. I know it's not high, but round here recently someone stole the green/yellow earth wire from the electric boxes outside houses, which they'd get about 1-2p per wire, yet put about fifty houses at risk of fire.
